My sketchbook is always with me. That's how I think.

 When I was a kid I'd be in class drawing and my teachers would tell me to stop drawing and pay attention, but this is how I pay attention. This is how I translate the world. So when I'm drawing, explaining things to myself, even though it may not be the actual thing that's happening in the room, it's the ideas and the feelings. They all come back to me when I look at these drawings. I know where I was and who was there. What was happening and what it felt like. And that's the important things.
